The date was August thirty-one, the year 2008.
At six in the evening a few of us gathered to celebrate.
Celebrate our faith, our blessings, and our fellowship.
We gathered at Oakview Christian Church,
And though we were few,
Those who were there didn't dare to leave their pew.
Our Singspiration was about to start.
In the past it was mostly choir.
However tonight the children did songs, that touched our hearts,
Then Jamey Denison performed, and that just had to inspire.
After Pastor Larry Walls presented Jamey with a Bible complete with bookmark.
And I'm sure I speak for everyone there when I say,
"I pray that this visit wasn't a lark.
We would enjoy your company anytime."
A very special thanks goes out to Sandy Donhauser of Oakview Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas. She sent me the beautiful card shown here and included such a nice compliment in her words and in the form of some verse. I wanted to share it with all of you as well. Also, thank you so much to pastor Larry Walls who presented me with a wonderful new addition to my study materials/library with the Emphasized Bible as a gift. I really appreciate the Bible and I am looking forward to a return visit to Oakview Christian Church in 2009.
